Poster-winnersCity officials joined the student winners of the 5th annual Heads Up! Poster Contest at a reception at The Rye Arts Center January 27. The event was sponsored by the Rye YMCA as part of its Safe Routes to School initiative. Under the guidance of Digital Photography teacher Nichole Chiffriller, 58 Rye High School students created posters that show the dangers of distracted driving and walking.

The posters will move to the Rye Free Reading Room on February 10 and remain until the end of the month.
