The Port Chester/Rye/Rye Brook EMS held a ribbon-cutting ceremony this week to welcome two brand-new ambulances to its fleet.
A social media post Wednesday said the new vehicles are equipped with the latest life-saving technology, ensuring crews have state-of-the-art equipment to continue delivering rapid and reliable care.
John Sullivan, Rye’s assistant city manager, was among the officials on hand for the ribbon-cutting, along with Rye Brook Village Administrator Chris Bradbury, Port Chester Village Manager Stuart Rabin, and several staff and board members from the PCRRB EMS.
“Here’s to the next chapter of service—better equipped, better prepared, and always ready to answer the call,” the Facebook post said.
According to the PCRRB EMS website, the department responds to more than 6,000 service calls annually, or roughly 16 to 20 per day, with an average response time of less than six minutes.
