The 6’5” Twyman has been a starting forward for the past two years and on varsity since his freshman year. He comes from a long line of basketball players — his grandfather is in the NBA Hall of Fame and his father played for Rick Pitino in college. He led the Garnets this season in scoring, averaging 17 points a game, and was one of their leading rebounders.
According to his coach, Chris DiCintio, Twyman is a very committed and hardworking player, who gets up early to shoot hoops before school and is always the last to leave practice. When it comes to basketball, “Max is all business. He’s a great kid and very quiet.”
During the offseason, Tyman plays with the Yonkers’ Minutemen in the spring and The East Coast Panthers in the fall.
Coach DiCintio calls senior captain Kamal Logue, “the heart and soul of the team.” The Garnets’ point guard is “a real leader on and off the court. He is very outgoing and always works hard to make the plays happen and rally the troops.”
Both Twyman and Logue were integral parts of the team’s wins over Byram Hills this season.
