Alyssa Coughlan received the female scholar-athlete of the year award from Manhattanville College at an award ceremony April 30. Coughlan, a 2008 Rye High School graduate, completed an excellent four-year career on the field hockey field and in the classroom.

Coughlan, a 2008 Rye High School graduate, completed an excellent four-year career on the field hockey field and in the classroom.
The three-time MAC Fall Academic Honor Roll recipient, who is majoring in Finance and has a dual minor in History and Sociology, boasts a 3.833 cumulative GPA.
On the field, Coughlan scored 16 goals with 13 assists for 45 career points as a Valiant. She also ranks eighth in career games played at Manhattanville.
At Rye High, Coughlan was an All-Section Honorable Mention and All-League selection in field hockey. She helped the team capture the State Championship in 2007.
After graduation from Manhattanville on May 17, she will be looking for a job in finance.
