Veterans Day Salute
Rye American Legion Post 128 and the Auxiliary invite the community to the annual Veterans Day Ceremonies, Monday, November 12 at 10:30 a.m. on the Village Green.
Post 128 Commander Fred de Barros will welcome the community, along with Mayor Josh Cohn, County Executive George Latimer, and State Assemblyman Steve Otis.
The keynote speaker is Major General Robert Gruber, New York Air National Guard (Ret.).
At 10 a.m., a ceremony to honor those buried at the African-American Cemetery, adjacent to Greenwood Union Cemetery on North Street, will begin. The public is invited to join other volunteers to clean the historic headstones.
