Carter Frances Lahey and Lieutenant Junior Grade Jacob Ryan Hilliard were married on November 24, 2018 at the Church of the Resurrection in Rye, New York. Father Daniel O?Reilly officiated. A reception followed at Westchester Country Club.
The bride, 23, earned a degree in Communications and Studio Art at Loyola Maryland University. She is the daughter of Stacey and Michael Lahey of Rye.
The groom, 24, earned a degree in Operations Research at the United States Naval Academy. He is the son of Carol and Jim Hilliard of Monee, Ill. Jake, as he is known, is the Navigator of a US Navy destroyer the USS <Halsey>, and is currently stationed at Pearl Harbor in Hawaii.
The couple met in 2012 when Carter?s brother Jack and Jake were roommates at the US Naval Academy.
