Five TV series filmed in Westchester County received 23 combined nominations for the 78th annual Emmy Awards on Sept. 14.
Three of this year’s nominated productions — “The Diplomat,” “The Gilded Age,” and “Your Friends & Neighbors” — are in the running for Outstanding Drama Series, while “Love Story: John F. Kennedy Jr. & Carolyn Bessette” is nominated for Outstanding Limited or Anthology Series. Together, the nominated productions showcase the range of Westchester locations, from historic estates and suburban neighborhoods to commercial settings, country clubs, and cultural institutions.
“Your Friends & Neighbors,” an Apple TV+ show starring Jon Hamm and Amanda Peet, filmed extensively throughout Westchester, including at Sunshine Coffee Roasters, Aurora Restaurant, Ruby’s Oyster Bar & Bistro, and Saigon Table in Rye, as well as Sleepy Hollow Country Club, Westchester County Airport, The Brazen Fox in White Plains, Yonkers Public Library, The Belvedere Estate, and Old Oaks Country Club.
The production returned to Rye on June 23 to film scenes for its upcoming third season.
HBO’s “The Gilded Age” earned eight nominations, Netflix’s “The Diplomat” followed with seven, while FX’s “Love Story: John F. Kennedy Jr. & Carolyn Bessette” earned six.
“These nominations reflect the caliber of productions choosing to film in Westchester County and the strong partnerships that make our communities film-friendly and production-ready,” said Westchester County Executive Ken Jenkins. “Every project that films here supports local businesses, creates jobs, and showcases Westchester to audiences around the world. We’re proud to see these productions recognized on one of television’s biggest stages.”
Filming for “The Gilded Age” took place at Yonkers Train Station, Great Point Studios, Lyndhurst — where the estate’s grounds doubled as Central Park — the Hudson River Museum, Sleepy Hollow Country Club, and locations in Harrison.
Westchester locations for “The Diplomat” included Sundial Farm in Ossining, Sleepy Hollow Country Club, and sites in the Town of Mount Pleasant.
“Love Story: John F. Kennedy Jr. & Carolyn Bessette” filmed at the Michaelian Office Building in White Plains, Westchester County Airport, Hudson Hills Golf Course, and Sleepy Hollow Country Club.
“Poker Face” also received one nomination for stunt coordination. The Peacock series filmed in Tarrytown’s Crest neighborhood, the former College of New Rochelle campus, Irvington’s historic Armour-Stiner Octagon House, and locations in Somers.
