Margaret A. Garvin passed away on Dec. 31, 2025, after a short illness.
She was born Dec. 2, 1935, in Mount Vernon, N.Y., to Colin and Margaret Packman. She was a graduate of Saint Gabriel High School and The Wood School.
Margaret met her beloved husband, Thomas, while he was working at a gas station, and they married in 1960 until his death in 2022.
She was employed by IBM for many years and went on to work for King Street Rehabilitation for 18 years before fully retiring in 2013.
Margaret is survived by her children, Thomas, Deborah (Robert), James, and Kathleen; granddaughters, Brittany and Audrey; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents.
Margaret’s loved ones express their sincere thanks to King Street Rehabilitation for their excellent care in the last months of her life.
The family will receive friends at the Graham Funeral Home from 4-7 p.m. Monday, Jan. 5. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 6, at the Church of the Resurrection in Rye, N.Y. Interment to follow at Greenwood Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the American Cancer Society or Humane of Westchester, New Rochelle, N.Y.
