Wines by the Glass
Cheers to three wonderful Rye shops that sell wine glasses for every taste and occasion.
Cai Palmer of Wine at 5 on Elm Place stocks boxed sets of Quatrophil glasses in three sizes. If you’re opening a Gevrey-Chambertin, an Antinori Tignanello, these stem glasses are ones you want to have on your bar.
Rather than renting glasses every time you have a party, stock up on Govino reusable plastic wine glasses. Doug Kooluris of G. Griffin Wine and Liquor on Forest Avenue sells them, with or without names and initials on them.
At Sarza on Purchase Street, Sarah Briginshaw doesn’t sell wine, but she has a fine selection of wine glasses made from recycled glass. And she probably can recommend some good South African wines to enjoy in them.
