Beth Yeager, a Rye eighth grader on the Sacred Heart Greenwich Varsity Field Hockey team, was named to the 2017 United States U-17 Indoor National Team.
In her first year on the varsity squad, Beth earned the Most Accomplished Award and was selected for the Western New England Preparatory School All-Star Team.
She played a significant role in Sacred Heart Greenwich reaching the New England Preparatory School Athletic Council’s Class A Field Hockey Tournament for the first time in school history. Based on Beth’s quarterfinal tournament performance, she was recognized as an All-Tournament player.
“Beth has worked tirelessly to develop into a highly-skilled player with strength, speed, and stamina beyond her years,” said Kelly Stone, Director of Athletics. “While Beth’s commitment and work ethic inspires all, her humility and team-first focus makes her a truly special athlete.”
