Birdies for Birds
On July 31, join golfers and supporters of the Rye Nature Center for the second annual Birdies for Birds fundraiser at Rye Golf Club. Proceeds will benefit coastal bird habitats and conservation through planting natives at RNC. The event was started by members of the Rye High School Golf team, Brian Latkany, Jack Tartaglia, Delucia Lepore, Lara Martin, and Amanda Latkany.
Last year, they raised $5,600, which went to the planting of over 350 native flowers, trees, shrubs, and grasses at the Center.
Tickets, which include one round of golf and a post-game reception, are available in singles, twosomes, and foursomes. Visit birdiesforbirds2018@eventbrite.com or call 967-5150.
