Caravans of Fun

The Rye Youth Council’s second annual Rainbow Run went off without a hitch the afternoon of November 11. This year’s @home edition featured two roving RYC Rainbow Caravans, led by the flashing lights of Rye police cars and smiling members of the Rye PBA, one of the event’s Platinum sponsors along with Julia B. Fee Sotheby’s International Realty.

Each caravan of four to five cars was filled with Youth Council board members and teen volunteers and followed a timed route through neighborhoods around town. Kids and parents greeted the roving caravan with cheers and engaged in playful fun with Rye’s Finest by throwing clouds of colorful powder.

Participants each received an American flag to honor our country’s veterans, a rainbow mask, a Rainbow Run T-shirt, and bags of multi-colored powder to start the fun @home.

The Rye Youth Council is a Rye-based 501(c)3 nonprofit that supports the social and emotional health and mental well-being of children, teens, and young adults in our community.
