Carmela Marie Gianguzzi passed away peacefully on March 28, 2024, at the age of 88. Born on Independence Day, 1935, in the Bronx, N.Y., her life was a testament to the enduring spirit of family, community, and entrepre- neurship.

In a partnership with her hus- band, Lawrence Gianguzzi, she co-owned and operated Gann Realty, which served Port Chester and Rye for nearly 40 years. Together, they built not just a business, but a legacy of integrity and commitment to clients.

“As we bid farewell to Carmela,” said her family, “we honor a life beautifully lived and a woman who was a source of inspiration and joy.”

Mrs. Gianguzzi was predeceased by her husband, her high school sweetheart. She is survived by her daughters, Kathleen Gerety and Laurie Gianguzzi, who she cherished; her granddaughter, Kaitin Gerety, who she dearly loved; and her siblings, Ralph Mingini, Adele Renna, and Katie French, to whom she was devoted.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at Church of the Resurrection.
