COMEDY NIGHT BENEFIT AT MOLLY SPILLANE’S THURSDAY, APRIL 25

Professional comedians take the stage at Molly Spillane’s at 7 PM Thursday, April 25 to benefit The Center for Continuing Education in Mamaroneck.  Headlining is John Iavarone, a veteran comedian who has a unique take on current events, marriage and children. Joining him are: Caitlin Peluffo, who has appeared on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert; Eric Neumann, a headliner at Caroline’s and had a #1 comedy album on ITunes; Sasha Srbulj who performs in New York and Los Angeles and just completed a television special; and Ryan Brown who appears at Caroline’s, The Comic Strip and festivals around the country.  Ron Nobles, a Mamaroneck middle school teacher by day, comedian by night will MC.

According to Rye resident and The Center’s Executive Director Diane Cashman, “We call this a “FUNdraiser” with an emphasis on ‘fun.’  But, just as importantly, funds raised  allow us to bring the community together to learn. Our goal is to reach as many lifelong learners as possible with high quality, affordable classes. This year, we provided 18 scholarships to middle and high school students. We hope to extend scholarships to low-income seniors in the future.”

The Center has served the Sound Shore area for almost 80 years.  It is self-financed and does not receive monies from the school district.  Funds raised at Comedy Night helps cover expenses for classrooms, teachers and operating costs. The Center’s offerings are as varied as computer skills, flower arranging, foreign language, museum trips, college prep and STEM courses.

Tickets are $100 for general admission or $150 for premium seating. It includes a buffet dinner, cash bar and laughter! Visit www.LMCCE.org or call 914-698-9126.

Julia B Fee/Sothebys is the platinum sponsor of the event.
