Gina DeCarlo, 68, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister passed away peacefully on October 24, 2023, surrounded by family.

Born on April 11, 1955, in Greenwich, Conn., she was the daughter of Anthony and Grace (Zappulla) DeCarlo.

On July 29, 1989, she married Michael Billington of Rye.

She was known for her kindness, intelligence and enduring love for her family and friends. Every Sunday, you could find her working on The New York Times crossword puzzle. Her weeknights were reserved for “Jeopardy,” a testament to her knowledge and quick wit. A skilled chess and backgammon player, she was always ready for a friendly match.

Her greatest joy came from cooking for family and friends. She was a master in the kitchen and her delicious meals brought everyone together.

Ms. DeCarlo is survived by her beloved husband, Michael Billington, with whom she shared 43 years. She is also survived by her son Max Billington and his wife Jenna, her daughter Emily Billington and her husband Anthony Labarta; her grandchildren, Mia, Jason, and Lydia; her sisters, Eva DeCarlo and Gioia DeCarlo; her brothers-in-law, Jeffrey Billington and Matthew Billington and his wife Darbi; and many friends.

The family will receive friends at Graham Funeral Home on Monday, October 30 from 4 to 6:30 followed by a funeral service. Donations in Gina DeCarlo’s memory may be made to the American Lung Association.
