Henry Coakley Dolce of Harrison, N.Y., died peacefully on February 2, 2022, a few days after his 52^nd birthday, in the loving embrace of his mother and three brothers due to complications from type 1 diabetes.

Born in New Rochelle, N.Y. on January 31, 1970, he was the son of Jed and Beth (Coakley) Dolce of Harrison. 

Hank, as he was known, graduated from Resurrection School in Rye, N.Y. and Saint Mary’s High School in Greenwich, Conn., where he received the Headmaster’s Award. He studied for two years at Mount Ida College in Boston. 

A lifelong lover of the outdoors, he completed an Outward Bound course in Maine, and attended Camp Dewitt in Wolfeboro, N.H., where he received the Hiking and Honor Camper awards.

Hank Dolce enjoyed sports of all kinds: biking, snow and water skiing, fishing, tennis, sailing, and horseback riding. He cherished time spent with his family in Vermont and New Hampshire. Whenever he could, he brought food and clothing to the POTS Soup Kitchen and Shelter in the Bronx.

For fourteen years, he was a loyal employee of SUNY Purchase College, working in the Facilities Management Department.

He was predeceased by his father. In addition to his mother, Beth Dolce, and three brothers, Jared (Jen) of Darien, Conn., Luke (Sarah) of Weston, Conn., and Jake (Siobhan) of Rye Brook, N.Y., he is survived by his 16-year-old daughter, Elizabeth (Ellie) Dolce, the light of his life. He came from a large and close-knit family, including June and Jack Heffernan, Donn and Nora Dolce, and Wendy Dolce, all of Rye, and 14 cousins. He was a devoted and caring uncle to eleven nieces and nephews. 

Family and friends are invited to attend a celebration of Hank Dolce’s life at Graham Funeral Home February 8 from 4 to 7 p.m. A mass of Christian burial will be held February 9 at 10 a.m. at Church of the Resurrection in Rye.
