On Sunday, the Village Green and the adjoining parking lot were filled with children ready to hop in or on every kind of car and truck from a refurbished Model A to a Maserati to a Monster Truck. The occasion was the Rye Free Reading Room’s Vehicle Fair, which always brings out the kid in all of us. Who doesn’t enjoy a good honk? Getting behind the wheel of an enormous emergency vehicle? Donning a hard hat?
And when children weren’t racing from one vehicle to another, they made their way to the bouncy house, arts & crafts tables, and waiting patiently to board the friendly little yellow train that ran around the Village Green.
