Kathleen M. Cusano passed away on April 3, 2024, at Greenwich Hospital, after a tough battle with leukemia. Her loving husband Bill and devoted daughter Tiffany were at her bedside. She was 80.
She was born on Jan. 17, 1944, in Jamaica, N.Y.
For Kathy, family came first, and yet she always found time to participate in organizations within and just outside her community, including Christ’s Church Altar Guild, SPRYE, The Woman’s Club of Rye, Meals on Wheels, Kairos Outside, Rye Garden Club, Meals on Main Street, Rye Women’s Interfaith Committee, and Tres Dias.
“Kathy never boasted about her goodness or kindness, but her heart never failed to touch those with whom she came in contact,” said her family.
In addition to her husband Bill and daughter Tiffany, Mrs. Cusano is survived by her four wonderful grandchildren, Tyler, Matthew, PJ, and Devon; her son-in-law, Peter; and many wonderful friends who meant the world to her.
A Service of Burial and Holy Eucharist was held April 8 at Christ’s Church Rye.
To honor Kathy Cusano, her family asks for support for “Team Kathy” in the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society Big Climb Philly Event, which her grandsons Tyler and Matthew are heading up. The event is May 11, 2024. (Sign up at www.lls.org/ big-climb.)
