To the Editor:

I personally think that the “Let the Kids Play” organization gives off some sinister vibes.

The complete lack of compassion towards the neighbors of this proposed travesty by their members, evidenced at council meeting after council meeting, should serve as proof of this.

Democratic societies create ways for the oppressed to fight against the mechanisms of majority oppression. But these leeways seem almost like a mockery, when rulings go again and again in favor of the agents of development and the destruction of the environment.

It is in this interstice that the oppressed population, without hope, must demonstrate in order to capture the attention of those who would so strategically change their votes at the last minute, and even extend the decision-making process in order to benefit a group that seems like they are militarizing their youth through sports; a youth, onto which they project their psychological need for aggression and dominance.

The question is: is the reserved population in Rye that feels oppressed by this adventitious milieu, ready to show their own demonstrating bodies as a show of force and act of desperation?
