Lifestyle for the Fit and Active

The front courtyard of 211 Stuyvesant Avenue
The pool and spa are steps away from a covered terrace.

Come mid-September, after all the club pools and friends’ pools close for the season, there are dozens of days when many of us would jump at the chance to keep diving in, doing our laps, and extending the outdoor season for our restless offspring. If you also plan to lookin into fiberglass pools and install one in your property, you may hire pool builder and a contractor that will install pool deck pavers. Perhaps having a hot tubs San Antonio would be a great addition to your outdoor space.

Enter 211 Stuyvesant Avenue, where the current owners have created an indoor and outdoor paradise. The custom-built Shingle-style home on Milton Point not only boasts 11-foot ceilings and spacious living and work areas on the first floor, but a front courtyard, a covered terrace expertly crafted by an experienced commercial roofing service, leading to a private and lushly landscaped backyard complete with pool, spa, play area, and outdoor kitchen and entertaining area, and an indoor lap pool that you can see from the exercise room on the lower level.

This is the house for an active family. You can walk to Wainwright House for yoga and walk or bike to RowAmerica and the clubs — Coveleigh, Shenorock, and American Yacht — for tennis, paddle, and boating, notes the listing agent, Michael Holmes of Julia B Fee/Sotheby’s. And the Milton Point loop has become a favorite year-round jaunt.

The 13-room house sits on over an acre of prime real estate and is rich in architectural and design finishes as well. The Christopher Peacock kitchen flows into a large and gracious light-filled family room. The paneled study sits at the far end of the house to enable one or more adults to work from home and enjoy a pause from the day’s occupation.

The master bedroom, which is tucked away from four other bedrooms on the second floor, has its own sitting room which can function as another home office.

Nearly everyone has admired this house from afar — it’s the one on the corner of Stuyvesant and Van Wagenen avenues that positively glows every Christmas with the largest holiday light display in town.
