Memorial Day Ceremony Will Be Virtual, But Still Meaningful
American Legion Post 128 and the City of Rye will carry on the tradition of honoring its deceased veterans on Memorial Day, Monday, May 25. The ceremony will be conducted virtually, due to Covid-19, and aired on RYETV at 10 a.m. and throughout the day.
Commander Fred de Barros will lead the occasion before turning the program over to Mayor Josh Cohn and County Executive George Latimer. Legionnaire Terry McCartney will read the Roll of Honor and Post Adjutant Tim Moynihan The Gettysburg Address. Robin Latimer will sing the patriotic songs we hold dear, and Rev. Kate Malin will deliver the invocation.
