New Streamlined Collection Course

There is good news in Rye! Starting Monday, July 13, garbage collection returns to twice weekly, with a few notable changes.

All collections will be curbside. On your first collection day (Monday or Tuesday), bring garbage and paper and cardboard recyclables to the curb; on your second collection day (Thursday or Friday), bring garbage, bulk items, and commingled cans and bottles.

On Wednesdays, during non-holiday weeks, green waste will be collected, as will food scrap recycling (for current subscribers), and electronics and metal, by appointment.

Additional information can be found on the City website, www.ryeny.gov. Download the Rye Sanitation & Recycling app and receive collection schedule reminders by phone, email, text.
