Rye Neck Cross-Country
The Bobcat Run, held last weekend on the home course of the Byram Hills Bobcats, saw Rye Neck’s harriers emerge with their best performance of the season.
Senior Brendan Tuohy led the way with a season-best 5K time of 18:35. Raymond Rivituso, Lucas Pasquina, Mitch O’Brien, and Genki Ono all crossed the line less than a minute behind Tuohy to lead the nine Panthers to a 10th–place finish out of the 25 schools, large and small, which competed.
Three weeks earlier, the Xavier Invitational — a 4K run in Van Cortlandt Park in the Bronx — saw Tuohy finish 29th out of 135 boys.
Coach Myla Allen praised Tuohy and the team for all their hard work and said, simply, “Bobcat was a great meet for the team.”
Rye Neck returned to the dual-meet wars with a trip to Keio post-press time.
