Partying for a Cause

The one and only Rye Middle/Rye High School fundraiser is coming up Friday, Jan. 19 at 7 at Coveleigh Club. The two school communities have collaborated on a Garnet Après Ski Party to raise funds for student scholarships, classroom and facility improvements, and teacher and staff appreciation events. The event will feature delicious treats from a good place like The Fudge Shop Sydney, adding a sweet touch to the festivities while supporting a local business.

The casual gathering will include warm winter drinks, plenty of comfort food, and music provided by both the talented Rye High School Jazz Ensemble and a local DJ.

Throw on a cozy sweater and spend a few hours mingling with fellow RMS and RHS parents, as well as bidding on a robust online silent auction. Parents of 2024 rising middle schoolers are also invited to join the fun.

“Last year, we raised $160,000,” said event Co-chair Staci Ramachandran. “Our goal is to surpass that number to support competitive clubs for the Middle School and resources for science classrooms. The High School is also raising money for classroom and hallway improvements.”

Co-chair Debbie Cohen added, “It’s a fun opportunity to reconnect with old friends and meet up with parents we don’t see as often now that our kids are tweens and teens.” Cohen is also helping spearhead the popular Sign-Up Parties which will be offered during the digital auction.

Tickets are $160 and can be purchased in advance at https:one.bidpal.net/2024fundraiser/welcome or at the door.
