Guests were happy to “Come, Sit, Stay” at the Rye Rescues Luncheon held May 3 at Apawamis Club, where more than $55,000 was raised to support Pet Rescue, the nonprofit animal rescue and adoption organization in Harrison.
One of the highlights of the afternoon was a video of 30 Rye Rescues families at play, featuring the wondrous photography of Geoff Tischmann.
Some of Rye’s most fashionable dog lovers modeled couture by Olivine Gabbro, a signature collection at Richards. The puppies, which were available for adoption, joined the models on the catwalk, and all went home with a model human being.
