Registration Open for Rye Y Spring Pre-School Enrichment Program

“The YMCA is such a great extension of the school day.  [It allows] the children to explore cooking, swimming, sports, playtime all in one place!”
Megan, parent of a Pre-School Enrichment Program participant

Registration is now open for the Rye YMCA’s Pre-School Enrichment Program fall session.

As a leader in programs for children, the Rye YMCA is a trusted choice for parents looking for a quality pre-school enrichment program. The Y offers morning or afternoon options as an extension to the pre-school day or as an alternative for families who are looking to just sample the pre-school experience.

The program takes advantage of the Y’s team of experienced, dedicated and nurturing childcare professionals and the facility itself. Children are able to enjoy swim lessons, sports instruction, movement, cooking, art, science, gardening and playground time. The student to staff ratio is 4:1.

Head teacher Sue Padgett, a 25-year child care veteran, remarks “Working with the Preschool Enrichment Program at the YMCA has been so much fun! The kids are happy, energetic, creative and respectful. In a short time, they have achieved a strong sense of belonging within our group and truly enjoy each other’s company.”

Parents concur with Padgett’s assessment, with one mother commenting “We’re super happy with the program. Jack comes home tired from all the activities and asks to come back the next morning.”

Li, another mom, enthused “”My son liked the sports class and cooking class so much! He got the chance to play all kinds of ball games in the sports class. He also enjoyed making cakes and could tell us at home the steps he learned. He would also hang the art crafts that he made in class on the wall at home! The teachers are very experienced, patient and caring!”

Registration is now open for fall 2019. Families can choose between morning or afternoon programs for one day (Wednesday), two days (Tuesday and Thursday) or three days (Monday, Wednesday and Friday). Bussing is available to/from Christ’s Church Nursery School, Monday-Friday and to Rye Presbyterian Nursery School on Wednesday morning.
