Wood ? Capalbo

Colleen Margaret Wood and Thomas James Capalbo were married on September 8, 2018 at the Church of the Resurrection in Rye, N.Y.?Monsignor Ken Herbster, the bride?s great-uncle,?officiated nearly 36 years to the day after performing the ceremony at her parents? wedding at the same location in 1982. A reception followed at Coveleigh Club.

The bride, 29, is the daughter of John and Kathy Wood of Rye. The groom, 31, is the son of Tom and Rosemarie Capalbo of Stamford, Conn., formerly of Mamaroneck, N.Y.

The bride was escorted by her father. Her sisters, Katie Lyons and Mary Anderson,?were the matrons of honor.?The bridal party included the bride?s childhood friends from Rye for over 20 years, Helen Anda, Tara Doyle, Hilary Nabhan, and Ali O?Brien. The bride?s nieces, Neely Lyons and June Anderson, were the flower girls. The bride?s nephews,?Leo Lyons?and Chip Anderson, were the ring bearers. Her brothers, Andrew and Brendan Wood, performed readings. Also in attendance was the bride?s maternal grandfather, Ed Herbster of Greenwich, previously of Rye.

The bride is a graduate of Rye High School, class of 2007 and of Elon University in Elon, from which she graduated cum laude with a degree in Communications in 2011. She is a Senior Communications Strategist at Moody?s Corporation in New York City.

The groom attended Mamaroneck High School and graduated from the Northwood School in Lake Placid, N.Y, class of 2007. Following graduation, he played junior hockey in Long Island before attending Hobart College in Geneva, where he played on the Varsity Men?s Ice Hockey team and graduated with a degree in Economics in 2011. He is a Commodities Broker at Soci?t? G?n?rale in New York City.

After a honeymoon in?Italy, the couple?returned?to their?home in?Mamaroneck.
