Rowing Their Way to Gold

At the 54th Head of the Charles Regatta last weekend in Cambridge, Mass., two local boats from RowAmerica Rye, the Women’s Youth 4+ and the Men’s Youth 8+ won their events — an incredible feat in that Head of the Charles is the world’s biggest two-day rowing event. More than 11,000 elite athletes competed.

It was the second straight win for the RAR Women. The Men’s Youth 8+ was the most subscribed event in the regatta, with 85 boats in the field.

Coach Stan Nelson, Aaron Wenk, Ryan Lehmann, Parker Vanamee, Cameron Matossian, Matt Rose, Danny Mackle, Hamish Dubitsky, Curtis Alter, Eli Rabinowitz, and Head Men’s Coach Aleks Radovic

Carli McDermott, Jane Reynolds, Ashley Giannetti, Greta Filor, Izzy Aronin, and Head Women’s Coach Marko Serafimovski
