SPRYE Welcomes New President and Board Members

Dolores Eyler, a longtime Rye resident and dedicated volunteer, has been named board president of SPRYE, the member-based organization for adults 55 years and older who want to live confidently at home and stay connected to their community in meaningful ways. She takes over from Lauren Miscimarra, who will now chair the Executive Committee.

“I’m pleased to be a part of this very special organization that offers engaging and educational programs for older adults in the four communities we serve,” said Eyler.

In addition to serving on several local boards, including the Rye YMCA, The Rye Arts Center, and Rye Presbyterian Church, Eyler has served on the national boards of POSSE and Operation Success.

She holds graduate degrees in education and journalism, and, in 1996, founded The Rye Record.

Dolores and her husband, Van Siler, live on the Westchester Country Club grounds. SPRYE’s new board members are Deb August, Chrissy Connor, Tish Stuebe, and George Whipple.
