TD, Not to Be
The Rye branch of TD Bank in the central business district at 36 Purchase Street will close November 15. According to manager Stella Altzman, the branch will merge with one at 101 South Ridge Street, Rye Brook.
Summer has taken its toll on Rye businesses, as the banks’s departure follows the closing of Morgan’s Fish House and The Red Pony.
In 2018, Wells Fargo closed its Rye branch on Purdy Avenue in favor of branches in Rye Brook and Harrison. The Rye property is still for sale.
