That Old School Spirit

The Harrison/Rye Alumni Committee met a week ago at Rye High School to continue planning for Thursday’s golf outing and dinner at Rye Golf Club. More than 40 sponsors and 80 golfers are excited to raise funds to support the Chris Mello Memorial Scholarship Fund. Golf outing tickets and sponsorship information are available by contacting Doug Mello at 391-5500 or djm@dougmello.com.

Winners of this year’s $2,000 scholarships one player from the Garnets, one from the Huskies will be announced at a ceremony on the Nugent Stadium field before The Game, which kicks off Sunday at 1. These young men will join the 33 previous Mello Scholarship winners, many of whom will be on hand.
