Sunday in the Park

Every family member found their favorite niche at Jay Day last Sunday. Whether it was a game of ring toss, a scavenger hunt, talking to the animals in the petting zoo, listening to music from Bach to Rock or drumming to your own beat, taking a pony or horse-drawn carriage ride, or painting the meadow with children’s author Hervé Tullet, it was old-fashioned and fine. Vendors, treasured and new, attracted crowds, too.

In between planting your own salad bar to take home, families sampled natural sodas along with “the most delicious cheese sandwiches anywhere”, wood-fired pizza, and more.

Cheers to Tracy Edwards, who chaired the day, and a cast of wonderful volunteers.
