“What do the simple folk do?” asks King Arthur in Lerner and Loewe’s “Camelot”. The smart answer for home buyers in today’s ever-complicated world is Kingfield, a luxury community of new homes and townhomes in Rye Brook. 

 

Unlike many other complexes, Kingfield appeals to buyers at all stages of life because the layouts are different, the amenities are numerous, the spaces are flexible, the ceilings high, and the palette is clean and sophisticated. Kingfield has the feel of a boutique hotel; it’s got a pool, spa, lounge, club room, fitness room (with Peleton bikes) as well as a cool vibe. The difference is it sits on 30 acres, 13 of them protected open space with a perimeter walking trail. The setting is lovely and tranquil, yet you’re only a short distance from the Merritt Parkway and the Glenville shopping center in Greenwich. Shuttle service to and from the Port Chester train station is available at the nearby executive office park. 

 

“Being adjacent to the Doral Arrowwood, a hotel/conference center that closed its doors at the end of last year and will be reimagined, will add value,” says Rogull, who lives with his family in one of the Doral Greens townhomes.  

 

This is the fourth project for Rogull, Bob Dale, and Bill McGinnis of Sun Homes, and this design/build firm is getting smarter as they go and winning national awards in the process. 

 

There is no typical Kingfield resident. The homes appeal to young families from the city who want excellent schools and community, empty nesters who are happy to turn over lawn maintenance to somebody else, and grandparents wanting to stay close to their grandchildren. For couples who love to travel, a lock-and-leave home is just the ticket. 

 

What distinguishes Kingfield homes from many other planned communities is that they feel like homes because they have private gardens and patios, two-car garages, and you get a lot of real estate for your money. A 4,700 square-foot home just sold for $1,920,000.  If I have to talk specifically about the garage, i loved this because it provides a unique design and their service is impeccable.
