Upcoming fundraising benefit for pediatrics and women’s health to take place May 17

Greenwich, CT (May 6, 2019) – On Thursday, May 2, Sponsors, Patrons and Underwriters of the 2019 Under the Stars event gathered at the dazzling Greenwich Avenue location of Shreve, Crump & Low to celebrate the upcoming fundraiser. Attendees admired the spectacular jewelry collection at the store, including radiant platinum flower motif drop earrings consisting of 12 round brilliant cut diamonds, donated for the benefit’s live auction. Greenwich based DJ, April Larken, provided music while guests sampled signature cocktails and posed in a photo booth with life-sized cutouts of 98 Degrees band members. Under the Stars will take place on Friday, May 17 at Riverside Yacht Club and feature a performance by 98 Degrees.

Arthur Martinez, chairman, Greenwich Hospital Board of Trustees, welcomed guests and noted his appreciation for their generous contributions to the Under the Stars event. Diane Kelly, Greenwich Hospital’s chief operating officer and executive vice president, thanked Suni Unger of Serendipity Magazine and the Walker family of Shreve, Crump & Low for hosting the party, the committee for their enthusiastic efforts in creating an incredible evening, and all of the supporters, whose generosity has raised over $700,000 to date for pediatrics and women’s health. Kelly recognized the Warwick family, longtime hospital supporters and volunteers, Karen Santucci, MD, section chief, Pediatric Emergency Medicine, Yale New Haven Children’s Hospital, and the Walker family and Shreve, Crump & Low as 2019 Under the Stars event honorees.

Since opening the Greenwich location nearly five years ago, the Walkers have generously supported Greenwich Hospital by donating one-of-a-kind pieces to fundraising auctions and hosting festive pre- and post-event parties at their store. They have chosen Greenwich Hospital as a beneficiary of their charitable giving because of its importance to the community and their customers. The Walkers have expressed their appreciation for having a fully equipped, world-class medical facility less than a mile from their store.
