Westchester Triathlon Continues to Make Charitable Strides

In its 35th year, the Westchester Triathlon, which starts and finishes at Rye Town Park, has grown to be a premier Olympic distance race on the East Coast. In addition to hosting the Northeast Collegiate Triathlon Conference Championships and this year, the USA Triathlon (USAT) Youth Regional Championships, Westchester Triathlon is a nonprofit 501(c)3 corporation that donates 100% of net race proceeds to deserving local and national charities. Since 2004 the Westchester Triathlon has donated over $1,000,000.

Members of the Westchester Triathlon Committee recently presented checks totaling $46,000 to representatives from the Challenged Athletes Foundation (CAF), MAC Angels Foundation, Rye YMCA, and SOUL RYEDERS. Westchester Triathlon Corporation is dedicated to the promotion and development of the sport of Triathlon among athletes of all ages and gender, and to introducing multi-sport training and competition to children and young adults. This year’s Olympic distance race takes place on Sunday, September 23. The Super Sprint and ONS Kids’ Race will take place on Saturday, September 22.
