Fundraising events like the Holiday Sale have enabled the Club to plant and donate the hanging baskets on Purchase Street for more than 35 years. This past summer red, pink, and white geraniums contributed color and charm to the busy shopping district.
Membership in Ceres Garden Club is open to all — men or women — who enjoy gardening and floral arranging and have an interest in the natural environment. The Club meets once a month at the Rye Nature Center for educational programs, flower shows, and work on civic projects like the hanging baskets.
