Where Shoes Are In

When it comes to shoes, most fashionistas believe you can never have too many pairs or too many shoe stores for that matter. So fancy footwork your way over to one of the newest oases for shoe lovers, Shoe-Inn, in the former Walden Books. The store opened in September and has been experiencing brisk sales ever since.

The Shoe-Inn company has been in business for 40 years and prides itself on offering European designer brands and styles that aren’t often in department stores, according to Monica Quiros, district manager. The Rye Brook location is the company’s eighth store and only one in Westchester. Others are located in Connecticut, New Jersey, and Long Island.

In addition to shoes and boots, Shoe-Inn also features accessories, bags, jewelry, gift items, leather goods and a new men’s line. Top sellers this season are Fiorentini + Baker, Aquila, Stuart Weitzman, Chloe and bags by Liebeskind. For the holidays, styles run the gamut from rugged boots to pointy toe pumps to sparkly favorites for evening wear. With Baby Uggs, hosiery, hats, and smoking slippers, there’s something for everyone.

Currently, five percent of purchases will be donated to the American Red Cross Hurricane Relief Fund. For more information, call 937-2929 or step inside.
