A Big Step in Making Rye a More Inclusive Place for All
In recognition of LGBTQ+Pride Month, and in the pursuit of ensuring that children and teens feel “good in their skin and valued and accepted by their peers,” Rye ACT, the Rye City Council, the pRYEde Community Group, and the Rye High School Gender Sexuality Alliance held a celebration on the Village Green/City Hall steps June 18.
A large cross-section of the community came out to listen and learn and applaud the many advocates working for change and prevention of risky behavior by teens who feel disconnected.
