How many women does it take to put on a fashion show? Just two savvy ones: retailer Angela Guitard and creative consultant Lexy Schmertz. They’ve got a dazzling evening planned Thursday, September 6, from 5 to 9 p.m. So, get your act together (dress up, find a babysitter) and head to Fashion’s Night Out at Angela’s at 24 Purchase Street.
The whole downtown will be a scene that night. All Paws will be bringing out some fur-clad models (real fur, real dogs). Isiah Thomas will be bartending at Ruby’s Oyster Bar. A number of others shops, restaurants, and businesses are participating, including: Woodrow Jewelers, Rhythm in Rye Too, 350° Classic Bakeshop, Euro Laser Services, The Running Company, Nest Inspired Home, Weezie D., Town & Country Hairdressers, Lola, The Open House, Lester’s, and Frankie & Johnnie’s.
“We wanted to bring Fashion Week to town,” said Guitard, who opened her women’s boutique in Rye less than 18 months ago but has already made a big fashion statement.
