Six members of School of the Holy Child’s varsity field hockey team were named to the 2012 National Field Hockey Coaches Association High School National Academic Squad. The honorees are Jacqueline DeMarco, Maggie Evans, Erika Hantho, Grace Jordan, Katie Rogan, and Ellen Rote.

Director of Athletics Amy Pare said, “We are proud of these talented student-athletes, who distinguish themselves on the playing field while excelling in the classroom. It takes tremendous discipline and dedication.”

Each year, the National Academic Squad recognizes senior field hockey players throughout the country who have excelled academically. To be selected, a student-athlete must be nominated by her coach, be a senior member of the varsity squad, and have a cumulative GPA of 3.5 through the first quarter of the school year.
