A Warm Welcome to RAC’s New Director

Meg Rodriguez moved from board member to executive director of the Rye Arts Center this month.

Meg Rodriguez moved from board member to executive director of the Rye Arts Center this month. While the search committee yielded candidates from near and far, in the end they agreed that the best candidate to replace Helen Gates, who announced her retirement this winter, was another Rye resident.

Excited to step into her new role, Rodriguez said, “The Rye Arts Center is an essential ingredient in the life of Rye. I look forward to working with the board, staff, instructors, students, members, and donors to bring the arts to our community. It is a wonderful team, and I am proud to be a part of it.”

In addition to serving on the Center’s board since 2006, Rodriguez has been involved with the Rye Middle School Parent Organization and the 15th Twig. She’s also on the board of The Children’s Dream Foundation.
