Make a Difference Day, October 24, the Loukoumi Foundation presented the Westchester Children’s Museum with a check for $20,000 to underwrite an exhibit to promote reading appreciation and literacy. The focus is life lessons taught in the Loukoumi book series by Eastchester resident and author Nick Katsoris. Loukoumi is the Greek word for kindness.

The exhibit will feature a give-and-take library, shelves filled with children’s books, a quiet reading area, and space for group read alouds.
