Rye High School athletes soared in a variety of sports in the first annual G Day weekend

Rye High School athletes soared in a variety of sports in the first annual G Day weekend, April 5 and 6. While the Garnets didn’t win every match-up, they raised the bar and made us proud, as they do throughout the athletic season. More G Day coverage can be found here in Sports.

Boys’ Tennis:  
Rye beat Harrison 6-1.

Softball:  
Rye lost to Rye Country Day 7-6.

Baseball: 
Rye beat Port Chester 6-3.

Girls’ Lacrosse: 
Rye lost to Somers 10-9.

Boys’ Lacrosse: Rye topped Lakeland 8-4.

Boy’s Track: Rye won five events: 2 x 1600-meter relay, pole vault relay, 
triple jump relay, high jump relay, and 100-meter hurdles.

Girls Track:  Rye won the 1600-meter relay,
the 1600-meter, 2 x 1 mile relay, the long jump relay, the 100-meter hurdles, and the pole vault.

Crew: Rye won the boys 4+ and came in second to Norwalk in the 
Greenwich Invitational.
