…Ewan Ward and Seth Dorfman, who were nominated by the Rye Rangers membership and voted on by the Good Skate Committee, which is chaired by Rocky Shepard. Both young men epitomize the definition of a student/athlete. In addition to excelling in hockey, Ward has coached young girls and boys and Seth has officiated at youth hockey games throughout Westchester.
During the school year Ward and Dorfman part ways. Ward attends Rye Country Day School, and Dorfman attends Rye High School. In recognition of their fine play and excellent character, Ward and Dorfman have also been selected as their respective team captains for the upcoming season.
The Rye Rangers Award will be officially presented to Seth Dorfman and Ewan Ward on Friday, January 5, 2024 when Rye High and Rye Country Day face off at Playland.
