Two-time All-County player Andrew Emanuel won all four of his matches in both singles and doubles September 19 to capture flight championships at the Connecticut College-U.S. Coast Guard Academy Invitational Intercollegiate Tennis Tournament in New London.

Two-time All-County player Andrew Emanuel won all four of his matches in both singles and doubles September 19 to capture flight championships at the Connecticut College-U.S. Coast Guard Academy Invitational Intercollegiate Tennis Tournament in New London.

The 2015 Rye High grad, who is a freshman at Oneonta State, began the day by rallying from a 4-7 (0-40) deficit with partner Joe D’Orazio to defeat Connecticut College 9-8 in a tiebreaker. The duo then captured the flight with an 8-4 win over Springfield College. In singles, Emanuel won two dramatic third-set super tiebreakers against players from Connecticut College and Wheaton College.
