Max Robinson, the top distance runner at Johns Hopkins University, recently ran in the cross-country Nationals in Indiana and received All-American honors. He is only the second person in the Men’s Cross-Country program to make All-American. Robinson, a senior at Johns Hopkins, is a 2010 graduate of Rye High School, where he ran cross-country and track.
Emily Duarte, a Rye Country Day School junior, was recently named to the 2013 Harrow Sports/National Field Hockey Coaches Association High School New York All-Region Team. Duarte helped lead the Wildcats’ field hockey team to its third consecutive New York State Independent School Championship.
Wildcats Coach Georgette Summers said, “Emily played an instrumental role on the 2011, 2012, and 2013 NYSAISAA Championship teams. She is the first field hockey player at RCDS to be selected to the NFHCA High School All-Region team. We are extremely proud of Emily for all her accomplishments this season.”
