Rye’s hard-working business owners and managers along with nonprofit directors and staff took the afternoon off June 5 to celebrate at the Chamber of Commerce Annual Luncheon. Tucker Murphy, Executive Director of the New Canaan Chamber of Commerce, was the guest speaker at the event, which was held at The Osborn. Ms. Murphy described many of the programs that have effectively connected community and commerce in New Canaan.

Each spring, members of the Rye Chamber vote for The Best of Rye in a number of categories. The first “Merchant of the Year” award was presented to Lisa McKiernan of the Pearl Restaurant Group, which owns three restaurants in town, Morgan’s, Ruby’s, and Rye Grill.
