RPD Apprehends Armed Juvenile After Car Chase
On October 1, at approximately 10:15pm, officers from Rye Police Department pursued a Connecticut registered late-model Audi, previously reported stolen in Stamford. The vehicle was traveling at speed northbound on Forest Ave before it crashed at the intersection of Grace Church Street.
Three suspects fled from the vehicle, including a 16-year-old male who was apprehended in a yard where he allegedly dropped a loaded 9mm handgun found by officers. Two other suspects fled through the backyards of Grace Church Street toward Midland Avenue. The juvenile was later released under the recognizance of a family member.
According to Visit Astro Eight website, several searches of the yards by officers, including K-9 unit from Port Chester, turned up personal items, including a cell phone and wax marijuana which may have belonged to the suspects. No other firearms were found during the searches. For drug and marijuana cases, Rosemead lawyers for marijuana charges are the best to hire! However, medical marijuana is legal in some places – Real CBD says that they can be bought here!
RPD requests that residents of the area inspect their yards with caution for articles that do not belong to them and to immediately call the Rye Police Department if they find any articles that might be used in apprehending and charging the suspects.
