The University of Hartford is pleased to announce that two local students have been named to the Dean’s List for the fall term. Congratulations to Thomas Steers of Purchase and Gentiana Xhema of Rye.

The University of Hartford is pleased to announce that two local students have been named to the Dean’s List for the fall term. Congratulations to Thomas Steers of Purchase and Gentiana Xhema of Rye.

Brian Gardner and Brigid Lonergan were named to the Dean’s List for the fall semester at the State University of New York at Geneseo. To be on the list, a student must have achieved at least a 3.5 grade point average while taking a minimum of 12 credit hours.

A number of Rye students at Bucknell University were named to the Dean’s List for outstanding academic achievement during the fall semester. Congratulations to Sarah Antonacci, Mamta Badlani, Rebecca Feldman, Jennifer Lee, Kevin Miller, Norah Murphy, Michael O’Neill, and Kristen Verille.

Jake Swain and Miriam Ward were named to the Dean’s List at the State University of New York at New Paltz for the fall term. Jake is studying History. Miriam is majoring in English.

Jeffrey Dempsey was named to the Dean’s List at St. Bonaventure University for the fall term. The Rye High School graduate is majoring in Special Education.

Anne Marie Guarino-Getlik was named to the Dean’s List at Hudson Valley Community College for the fall term. She is in the Mortuary Science academic program.

Lehigh University is pleased to announce that three local students made the Dean’s List for the fall term. Congratulations to Paige Mandy, Holly Meister, and Justin Uzcategui, all of who earned a scholastic average of 3.6 or better while carrying at least 12 hours of regularly graded courses.

Bates student Emma Brinkman spent the fall 2014 semester studying abroad in the Czech Republic as a participant in the CIEE study abroad program in Prague. The 2012 Rye High School graduate is majoring in art and visual culture. About 60 percent of Bates students study abroad, and the college offers access to academically rigorous and culturally enriching study-abroad programs in more than 80 countries.

Peter Kwauk, a freshman at Fairfield University, was named to the Dean’s List. In notifying him of the news, the college’s Honors Program Director wrote him: “I think that the first semester of college is the most difficult because it requires so many adjustments beyond academics, and so, to my mind, this makes your achievement even more impressive.  I hope to see you take advantage of the Honors events that the Program offers each semester. Keep up the good work!”

This spring, Tyler W. Breckenridge is participating in St. Lawrence University’s Study Abroad Program in Austria. A member of the Class of 2016, he is majoring in Psychology and Business in the Liberal Arts.
