Dionisios Roubanis
It is with great sadness that the family of?Dionisios Saki?Roubanis?announces his passing, on December 13, 2018, at the age of 74. ?
As the Good Humor Ice Cream Man, Mr. Roubanis?was proud to serve the communities of Rye, Port Chester, and Rye Brook for over 30 years. It brought him great joy and fulfillment to be welcomed into these neighborhoods, and his truck was a staple in our hearts, as well as in?the hearts of everyone he served whom he knew by name.?
Saki, as he was known, is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Joanne; and his children: Nicholas (Lisa), Paul (Suzanna), and Dean (Pamela). He will also be sorely missed and long remembered by his five grandchildren: James, Penelope, Katherine, Alex, and?Niko;?and by his sister,?Soula.
The family will receive friends at Graham Funeral Home in Rye on December 19 from 4 to 8 p.m. A funeral service will be held December 20 at 10 a.m.?at the Greek Orthodox Church of Our Savior in Rye. Interment will follow at Greenwood Union Cemetery.??
